Hendrix Enciso is a senior at Pacific Ridge High School, and soon to be a student at Babson College. For most of his life, he has been interested in his Latino culture and heritage from his dad's side of the family. When his grandfather immigrated to the United States and Los Angeles at just 18 years old, he brought a lot of the meaningful culture and traditions that he hailed from his hometown in Bogota, Colombia. Hendrix Enciso is a senior at Pacific Ridge High School, and soon to be a student at Babson College. For most of his life, he has been interested in his Latino culture and heritage from his dad’s side of the family. When his grandfather immigrated to the United States and Los Angeles at just 18 years old, he brought a lot of the meaningful culture and traditions that he hailed from his hometown in Bogota, Colombia. However, upon arrival, there was an expectation to fit in with society, and so over time a lot of his grandfather’s identity had been lost to the societal pressure of fitting in.

With the resources and opportunities granted to him, Hendrix hopes to reconnect with his heritage and try to find a way to make his culture a significant part of his life. He has been involved with several organizations that seek to aid Latino youth, not only here in California where he lives, but also in South and Central America. Because of this, The CHANGE Foundation is a platform he intends to use to channel his efforts to reconnect with his grandfather’s culture and help Latino youth flourish in their communities in today’s ever-changing world.
